The Fray
This is the lyrics to a song I heard that reflected whats been going on in my life. So Whenever it says a "She's on my mind" change it for "He's on my mind". And yes we have come to the point of the blog where I am inundated by self- pity and depression (as if I have not shown this side to my friends) but the greater public should be aware of this fact too. Be happy at least I am not overdosing on Tori Amos and Damien Rice right now (because I admit that if I did so it would mean I'd drown myself and my sarrows in a river of highly caloric chocolate ice- cream or Black Rasberry with chocolate ice cream, and since I plan on losing some more weight so I leave a pretty corpse at some point in the future I can't.) I can say that not the whole song applays to my situation but the parts I identify with are the ones in italic. I know I know, this is what happens when you like assholes. I need an emergency session with A.A. *Sighs* Oh, well.
Over my Head (Cable Car)
I never knew, I never knew
that everything was falling through
That everyone I knew was waiting on a queue
To turn and run when all I needed was the truth
But that's how it's got to be
It's coming down to nothing
more than apathy
I'd rather run the other way than stay and see
The smoke and who's still standing when it clears
Everyone knows
I'm in Over my head
Over my head
With eight seconds left in overtime
She's on your mind
She's on your mind
Let's rearrangeI wish you were
a stranger I could disengage
Say that we agree and then never change
Soften a bit until we all just get along
But that's disregard
Find another friend and you discard
As you lose the argument in a cable car
Hanging above as the canyon comes between
Everyone knows
I'm in Over my head
Over my head
With eight seconds left in overtime
She's on your mind
She's on your mind
Everyone knows
I'm in Over my head
Over my head
With eight seconds left in overtime
She's on your mind
She's on your mind
And suddenly I become a part of your past
I'm becoming the part that don't last
I'm losing you and its effortless
Without a sound we lose sight of the ground
In the throw around
Never thought that you wanted to bring it down
I won't let it go down till we torch it ourselves
Everyone knows
I'm in Over my head
Over my head
With eight seconds left in overtime
She's on your mind
She's on your mind
Everyone knows
I'm in Over my head
Over my head
With eight seconds left in overtime
She's on your mind
She's on your mind
