Whoa is Me

I'm tired as always from lack of sleep. Had to take mom to the emergency room at 1:00am to get some shots for the excrutiating pain in her arm. We finally got out at 3:00am. I didn't sleep well because of the tension. I HATE seeing her in so much pain, and I HATE that she is so goddamn grateful for every little thing I do for her. It isn't that I don't like that she is grateful to me, but that it's like she never expects someone to actually help her with ANYTHING. I'm glad to be able to be here and help her when she feels so badly. But then I start thinking about the time when I leave home and who is going to take care of her. Did I mention my dad was asleep when I took her to the hospital? No? Oopps, my bad. I know he tries to help, but he needs a little lesson in compassion. Compasssion is not bossing people around to do what you think they should so. Compassion is staying awake with someone while they are in pain even though you can't help, just to give them support. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to get that. Can you feel the rage? If not here is a vivid example of it.
*Strumming guitar and singing* Squirrelly wrath, squirrelly wrath you're all gonna die nothing you can do about it. Squirrelly wrath, squirrelly wrath.

Well I'll have you posted on my mom's health and my rage a little later. :)

I'm very sorry about your mom. I hope she's feeling better by now. Do you mean to tell me that your dad didn't even notice that your mom was in pain and that you took her to the hospital? That's messed up and very wrong. I wonh't even start to go there.

And girl, you can't expect to be around always and forever. If you do, then you'll never move on and will never live your life. Its hard, I know, and it hurts in the heart, but its got to be done.

Compassion is giving your dad a kick in the balls when he needs it :D

I think we suffer from reverse empty nest syndrome. Such is the disease of the Latin culture...

im in with stella and klo your dad needs a big lesson. how is ur mom? i didn't know anything. im so sorry. i wish i was there to help you. but you know there is a time when we all have to leave, and let me tell you, its not easy but it will always be fine. some times you think you might be the only one who knows what to do or say but when the others are left with your shoes to fill in they have to find it in themselves to push forward and help out.
